Privacy Policy for Your PT

At Your PT, we believe your fitness journey is your business. That’s why we’ve built this app with a privacy-first architecture. Unlike most fitness apps, we don’t want your data—we want you to keep it.

1. Data Collection & Storage

Your PT does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data (such as your name, workout logs, body measurements, or biometrics) to external servers.

  • Local Storage Only: All personal information you enter is stored directly on your physical device.
  • No Accounts: We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in through third-party social media platforms.
  • Anonymized Analytics: To help us improve the app experience, we collect limited, anonymized, non-personally identifiable usage data (such as feature usage patterns and crash reports). This data cannot be used to identify you.

2. Types of Data Managed

Because your personal data stays on your phone, you are the “Data Controller.” This includes:

  • Fitness Activity: Sets, reps, weights, and exercise types.
  • Biometrics: Weight, height, or body fat percentages (if entered).
  • Media: Any progress photos you take remain in the app’s local folder or your phone’s gallery.

3. Third-Party Access

  • Analytics: We use third-party analytics services to collect anonymized, non-personally identifiable data to understand how the app is used and improve your experience. This data does not include your name, workout content, biometrics, or any identifying information.
  • AI Services: To improve certain app features and your user experience, anonymized usage data may be processed by third-party AI service providers. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their AI models.
  • No Data Sales: We do not sell or rent any data—anonymized or otherwise—to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Security & Retention

  • Your Responsibility: Since your personal data is stored locally, its security depends on your device’s security settings (Passcode, FaceID, or TouchID).
  • Deletion: If you delete the Your PT app from your device, all personal data associated with the app will be permanently removed. We cannot recover this data as we do not have a backup.
  • Backups: If you use device-level backups (like iCloud or Google Drive), your app data may be included in those encrypted bundles, governed by your OS provider’s privacy policy.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if we add new features.
